Great PR Doesn't Just "Happen"

Great public relations doesn't just happen. It is the result of planning, strategy, writing and relationships. The mRELEVANCE team recently promoted a situational awareness rally in Atlanta, GA for former elite British Royal Commando Terry Vaughan. The goal of the rally was to teach women situational awareness.

Working on a short deadline (0nly four weeks), the mRELEVANCE team was able to achieve fantastic publicity!

Coverage in Atlanta-area newspapers such as the Northside Neighbor, as well as TV spots on BOTH Atlanta morning shows, Fox 5’s Good Day Atlanta and CBS Atlanta’s Better Mornings.

If your company needs help with its public relations strategy, traditional public relations or online public relations contact mRELEVANCE or call us at 770-383-3360.

Want to Know More about Public Relations?

Do you have questions about public relations for the home building industry? Well help is here! Now you can Ask Carol all of those burning questions.

Carol Flammer and Carol Ruiz have joined forces with NHDBuzz.com to offer Ask Carol, an Ask the Expert service that provides answers to all the burning real estate public relations and social media questions of home builders, developers, real estate agents and their marketers.

Flammer, owner of Atlanta-based Flammer Relations and managing partner of mRELEVANCE, and Ruiz, principal of Los Angeles-based red rocket LA, each bring 20 years of professional experience, and will each provide their advice on trade questions on the new home news site.

Despite the fact that they live and work on opposite sides of the country, the duo's partnership seemed destined. Their similarities don't stop with their first name. The two blondes are Libras and middle children that run their own public relations shops and live by the “play hard, work hard” philosophy. More importantly, they are also both extremely active in the real estate industry on both local and national levels, and incredibly passionate about their work.

Ask Carol will combine Flammer's Southern charm with Ruiz's West Coast flair. “Collaborating on a project like this is something that we have wanted to do for a long time, and Ask Carol is a perfect way to do that,” says Flammer. “Because we represent different regions of the country, we can bring different ideas and suggestions based on what we have seen work in our distinct experiences with our clients.”

Do you see your name in print as often as you like?

Why Are They Always in the Paper?

Admit it. You’ve thought it a hundred times: You should have been featured in that story, not the competition.

Trust us –size does NOT matter.

It’s not about how big you are. It’s about getting your name in front of reporters so they realize you’re a resource. It’s about knowing reporters well enough to make their jobs easier.

More often than not, it’s about working with the right public relations firm.

mRELEVANCE is ready to be that firm. We are well know for heavy hitting, strategic public relations. We are in contact with reporters on a daily basis. And we’re putting our clients out in front.

Public relations is a key ingredient of your relationship management program. And it is incredibly affordable.

Let's Get Creative

It has been brought to my attention by Joan Stewart, who produces an electronic newsletter called "The Publicity Hound's Tips of the Week," that the media professionals are not fans of media staged events, like a community ground-breaking. If a public relations agency would like media attendance at events like these, then it must be pitched in a more enticing way. If you offer a tantalizing story idea that is a lot of fun and eliminates the need for a tired ground-breaking ceremony, the media attendance will drastically increase, according to a media relations consultant and professional speaker. This particular individual, Joan Stewart, has begun conducting telephone training sessions for PR firms that want a refresher course on things like pitches and releases. She gives fresh ideas and a different perspective on ordinary PR tactics. You don't necessarily have to hire her, but she does make a great point. It would not be detrimental to spice things up a little and make the traditional real estate events more interesting and exciting.
